Flowering Trees as Bird Feeders

Please join Monday Sept 12, 2022 as we return to meetings after summer break. The speaker will be Ann Wiley on “How to Make Your Yard Your Bird Feeder”

Ann moved to Florida in the mid ’80’s developing an interest in its wildlife and ecosystems. She’s volunteered in sea turtle conservation for 30 years and with nesting seabirds for the past ten. She’s been a lead ecological tour guide for the Caribbean based Dragonfly Expeditions leading tours through south Florida and the Greater Everglades System. She’s a regular lecturer for Road Scholar Travel Company and different conservation organizations and teaches urban backyard landscaping to support songbirds and native wildlife.

Where: Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden 10901 Old Cutler Rd, Coral Gables, FL 33156 (south/employee entrance)

The meeting begins at 7:30 pm, but you are welcome to arrive at 7 pm to settle in and socialize. Please bring in anything flowering you’d like to share for the bloom table and please bring any snacks/refreshments you’d like to share.
